A little off topic: When it comes to "bad" words, the F word is one that is the worse one I hate to hear. I just cringe when I hear it. I told hubby if someone says it in the privacy of their bedroom, that is one thing, but not anywhere else.
I think anyword can be bad. It is all according to the context in which it is used. For example: saying "God" it can be sd as a cuss word, taking the name in vain, or as a plea as in God help me, pay attention, I need your help.
The same with the word sugar. My hubby says this like if he stubs his toe. It is an innocent word, but in that context it could be a cuss word.
Does any of that make sense?
A coworker of mine will call people on the phone retarded after she gets off the phone with them. It bothers me because my sister is mentally challenged and was called this when she was little sometimes. That is another word I hate.
off the soapbox now.
