My DIL dog got too close of a shave at the groomers, and it got infected. Once the skin is compromised bacteria can so easily enter the irritated part. Maybe a little Neosporin with A&D over it, and there is Neosporin with a numbing ingredient, but if it doesn't clear up in a couple of days, I'd see a vet. By the way, your groomer should not charge for this, if they ever nick the dog, they should not charge anything. It cost my DIL over $100.00 to treat. Scissors are safer than clippers on the butt area.
