You really need to get his potty issues under control both inside and outside of your house. How old is he and how have you been trying to address his potty training issues. If he is eating poop outside you need to really clean up your yard and start from scratch. Start the pineapple therapy from the link about first thing tomorrow.
When you take him in the yard for potty make sure that he is staying focused on the task at hand. Outside for only a few minutes at a time for him to do his business and then back in the house. He either needs to be put back in his crate or tethered to your side between potty breaks. If he does potty you can allow a short play time but them he needs to be put back on task.
