Just before I came across this thread, DH pulled out our brand new Kirby to vaccum the sunroom. He noticed that the cord has been chewed almost all the way through. It (the cord) has been kept carefully wrapped up when not in use, as well as put away in the closet away from the furs. Neo is SO neurotic about our cleaning appliances!
He barks and bites and raises hell every time Dh or myself pulls out something to clean with. If we leave it out, he will lay by it and growl. If we leave him alone with it. he goes for the cord! We have had to replace the cord on every appliance at least once, sometimes twice! Now its our new almost 2K Kirby!!! I think I need to wrap all cords in metal conduit!
