You should definitely expect accidents.
Their bladders are not fully formed until they are about 16-weeks of age.
I got my pup at 10-weeks old..... I bought him a snuggle puppy [brown mutt.....(they have several different ones....] it has a plastic red battery operated heart that you can turn on and off that simulates an actual heart beat. It also has some warmer things you can put in it.... I never had any problems.....I would look over and he would be sleeping on top of it. Good Luck!!
