This thread was a good discussion about pet insurance. I like the security that having insurance provides, knowing that I'll be able to get my babies the care they need. I have several yorkies and I worried what would happen financially if one or more got sick/injured at the same time....now I don't have to worry.
But, if I only had one or two pets I would seriously consider putting a set amount back each month just for their medical care, rather than paying insurance premiums. That method depends a lot on how disciplined a person is, though. So for many, insurance is the best answer.
