Hernia Surgery?! NERVOUS!!! My baby has an appointment next Tuesday to remove her hernia. It just appeard last week and doesn't seem to be causing her any trouble, but the vet said its best to go ahead and take care of it to ensure it doesn't case any issues in the future.
We adopted October last year at about this time from a rescue organization. We were told she came from a puppy mill, and had been bred over and over again. At the time we adopted her, her belly had just began to heal up from where the mill had last taken her puppies via c-section. She had also just been spayed by the rescue -- so her belly took an extra long time to heal. I'm guessing, her hernia may have been caused by all those times she had to receive a c-section. It took a long time to heal once we adopted her.
The vet took her blood work and did an EKG yesterday to ensure her health and her heart are healthy enough for surgery. She is very healthy, and the vet said she would do fine.
Either way -- I am very nervous about her upcoming surgery! But I know it has to be done. Any suggestions to help ease my nerves!!!
I'll be a nervous wreck by next week if I keep this up!!! |
