They are exstremely resonable priced if you can afford one. I have been breeding Yorkies for almost 30 years and over 90% of the calls I get are for people that want to spend $600. or less for a puppy no matter how beautiful, heathy, whatever. I know what Bev and Heiddy charge for a puppy as I said all my Mother's are from their lines. If you g oto my website you can see the pedigrees. Most people just do not have that kind of money to spend on a nice puppy, but it certainly doesn't mean they can't try. Happy Holidays to you all! |
I disagree, anytime is not a great time to buy a puppy even for responsible dog owners. Holiday time for many (not all) is usually a very busy time, of visiting, socializing, strangers running in and out. It often times translates to not much time to focus on your new pup, to accimilatize to their new home. Breeders such as you with long experience in the breed, are a different matter. You for instance are not new to breed, know to read distress signs in the blink of an eye. New yorkie owners do not, nor is their home necessarily puppy proofed. Especially at the holiday time.
Personally for myself an experienced dog owner I would never bring in to my household at Xmas time a new puppy. I don't want to be distracted by my social obligations warring with being there for my new puppy.
