Pig's Ears, yes.....BUT COW HOOVES SMELL SOOOOO BAD!!!! We bought Sully a pig's ear when we first brought him home, at 10 weeks old. It took him about a week to finish the pig ear. We were amazed and so bought him another. The next one only took four days. Then two, now it only takes like 45 minutes for him and that pig ear is GONE!
We spoil our baby boy, but we can't afford giving him one of those every day, haha! He only gets one maaaybe once a month now. He loves a good rawhide bone and it lasts him nearly a week for about the same price, so we go with those.
I heard that the only ways that rawhide bones are bad for our pups are b/c 1. they promote bad breath, and 2. when they get down to the last pieces, they can choke on them. I'm careful to throw his bone away when it gets small enough to mostly fit in his mouth. (But I have to throw it away when he's not looking, haha!)
COW HOOVES - on the other hand, stink so darn bad!!! We bought him one once, by reccomendation of a friend and we had to THROW IT AWAY! It smelled like a dirty barn (my husband said it smelled like "butt-crack") OMG it reaked! It was smelling up our whole house. But he loved it. And what was worse, he smelled just like it after chewing on it for a while. Oh well, we tried and will NEVER buy one of those things ever again!!! |
