Yes it totally works and you can use it for like, EVERYTHING! I got it for Uni's dry and chapped paw pads. Use just a bit and now as smooth as a baby's butt! She did want to lick it though, so be aware about that. I use it for lip balm now and it has worked better and faster than any brand I have ever used. Better than Burt's Bees, better than Keihl's. and since I have been building bicycles my hands are really rough, and this has helped tremendously. However, embroidery and hand sewing is really hard when your fingers are slippery
I got the 10 ounce size from CVS for $10. They do have a small 1 ounce size but that is $5, and after doing that hard math, I decided to go for the big one. I'm going to find some little containers and scoop out some to keep one in my purse, one at home, at work, you get the idea.
ETA, I had a hard time finding it, or an employee to ask for help (like they would have known anyway
