I petsit for a lot of people. I'm not bonded or insured, nor a professional company. I do it on the side while in college and have loads of good references and always give them my license to scan or do whatever they want with it, etc, so they have all my information to make them feel comfortable.
I do daily dogwalking where I charge $10 per day for a 30 minute walk. But honestly, that's probably one of the lower prices here in this area. All that job entails is going into their house, leashing up the dog and taking them for a walk. When I do over-nights, generally speaking I get about $30 per night. With this one couple who has 2 Boxers, I get $50-$60 per night. I will occasionally have to give them a pill or something if necessary but I never have to walk them... just let them out in the yard multiple times during the day and feed them in the AM and PM. I go there at 8am, again at 3pm, and again from 8-10pm. Sometimes I sleep there, sometimes I don't.
To be honest, I'd be really nervous with a dog with a ton of rules. Like, I wouldn't really want to brush a dogs teeth that wasn't my own. It's bad enough having to shove a big pill down a 100lb Boxers throat... that's special needs enough for me, LOL. But I take really good care of all the dogs I watch and I usually end up doing more than the owners even wanted me to. |
