Ah I see some posts have been deleted, damn.
All I can say is that nobody is forcing you to pay a lot of money for a dog.
If you want a yorkie but can't afford $1,000 - $2,000 for one then you can always get one from a rescue.
If you want a show dog with champion lines then i'm sorry but you will have to pay more money.
In order to have a champion, breeders have spent a lot of their own money in the first place improving their lines and showing their dogs.
They will also stand behind their dogs forever, unlike BYB's and pet shop/puppy mills.
It also depends on the breed.
It seems the Yorkshire Terrier is an expensive breed to purchase in the USA, here in England they are not so expensive. You would probably pay anywhere from 200GBP - 400GBP for a pet and maybe 1000GBP for a show dog. But it all depends on the breeder and whatever price they see fit for their pups.
I dont think it's anyone's business but their own as to how they price their pups, if you dont like it then don't buy from them. It's simple.
My boyfriend breeds bulldogs and he sells his males for around 1,500GBP and his females for 2,000GBP. Of course not everyone can afford that amount of money but if that is what you want then you will have to pay the price, or look into rescues.
But just like yorkies, bulldogs are not an easy breed when it comes to breeding them.
They need help when giving birth and most of the time will need a C-section, this alone can cost the breeder a lot of money.
I find you very disrespectful and I almost laughed out loud when you challenged Mary's dogs. Her dogs are beautiful and I would bet my house that they would kick your butt.

And the fact that you would disrespect someone who has served for your country just sickens me.
I also find it hard to take anyone seriously who has never heard of a paragraph.
