Also, I just want to add, my yorkies has really changed my life!! I am currently a Psychology major, but am now planning to become a veterinarian because I realize how much I LOVE animals and how much I want to help them. I will definitely foster animals in the future when I am more stable. Wish me luck! |
As long as your animals are well-cared for and get the love and attention they need, all is good! I have two doggies and would have another if I could fit it into my schedule. Also, I adopted Vinnie early on in grad school and while it was hard sometimes to fit him into my demanding schedule, I loved him so much and just made it work. Honestly, he offered me so much support during that time, I don't know what I would have done without him (because when you've had a stressful day, isn't it the best to curl up in bed with a little furbaby?)
I also think it's great that you're considering fostering in the future. We really want to get involved in that, but need to get a house first (we currently live in a condo). There are so many dogs out there who really need help. I am especially interested in maybe adopting older dogs who have trouble finding homes.
