I, too, just got 2 six year old rescues. Brie won't touch a toy or a treat for anything. She as a breeder at a mill. So was Bridget, Bridget is acclimating a little quicker. She doesn't 'play' but she will let me put a toy with her and she'll kind of snuggle with it. She doesn't play with it. She also will finally take tiny bites of toast now along with the other girls. Brie still won't. They show signs of a total lack of socialization. I think it is just a case of patience and continuous trial and error. Eventually, while watching the others play and you trying, you'll hit on something that catches her interest. May take years.
