I think you should ask sugarmamma, her Sugar is a tiny and she gets scared of the squeaky toys. She is really good at puzzle toys though, where you hide food or treats in there and they have to find out how to get it out. Uni on the other hand loves squeakers, but is not food motivated so she has still yet to figure out the puzzle toys.
It could also be that he's just still adjusting and he's not settled in yet.
