An important factor in my dog choice was size. Since I wanted a small dog, 4-7 pounds seemed just right. Dinky is 10 months old and is only 3 and 1/4 lbs, and who knows if he will make it to 4. His sister was a pound larger, but we liked his calm, timid temperament. Part of his cuteness is his small size. Happily, he's very sturdy, probably because we walk him about 1 and one half mile every night. We will most likely get another dog in about a year, and I really don't mind if he or she is small or very small. Tempermant is the key for me! |
