Sorry I don't have any advice for that one. It sounds like something you can live with if you have to. As long as he gets along with your other dog; you and your family . . that may be all you can ask.
Of course, that is going to make walking difficult if you like to take them for walks.
If so, you might consult a trainer. So glad they ended up in your capable hands.
