I hope your Maggie keeps improving. One of mine had very similar symptoms last week. It just so happened that she was scheduled for surgery so my vet put her on metronidazole. We couldn't put the surgery off so she also got some IV fluids (until she chewed through the line) which I think did help her diarrhea in the long run. Because of her surgery he sent her home with both the metronidazole and the clavamox. She was much more depressed than I had ever seen her, but it's been a week now and she is just now starting to get back to her playful troublesome self. We never had any vaccinations, and so far my other dog is not showing any signs of being sick at all.
