Check this thread. Breny has some pics of what she does with her boys who wear belly bands. Plus she shaves the sanitary and up the belly to the chest

On my boy he started to have to wear a bellyband all day (I always take them off at night and outside to give a break) and I wanted to grow his coat so I got the idea of shaving the hair around where the bellyband sat too

I also shave the whole belly underneith and up the sides a bit (the long hair covers it and you cant tell)

but it sure cut down on the little mats the bellyband and clothes cause.
