I am so glad to hear others adopting from rescue or shelters. I have had 4 very senior dogs I have adopted over the past 2 years, simply to make their final days and last memory something more than a cold shelter. Most did not live more than a few months, one only lived for 2 weeks. But, they were happy, spoiled and most of all very missed when they passed. It has been so rewarding to watch the sparkle return to Tiny's eyes. This was a little dog they thought was mostly blind and deaf in the shelter because she was so tired and defeated. Tiny can see everything and definitely knows when she is being called. The only thing I have given Tiny is a healthy diet, some companionship with the other furbies and lots of love. In return, she dances when I return home, keeps me company when doing my chores and reminds me every day the best gift one can give is not found in a box but in our hearts. Hugs, kisses and happy dances from Tiny!
