I held out on Apple's spay, because she only weighed 4 1/2 lbs. (on kibble)...I switched to raw, and got her to 5 lbs. and had her spayed...My vet told me to cut down on her food, after spay, and I didn't listen...She popped up to 6 1/2 lbs.! Next visit, the vet said it was time for me to be congnisant about her weight gain...I thought that was a nice way of putting it lol...I cut her back, and now she weighs 5 1/2 lbs., and looks great...On the other hand, Cha Cha, the Chorkie was spayed at 3 1/2 lbs., and I struggle to keep her at 4 lbs....I guess it's her metabolism...So, inatyq, yes and no lol...Buzz is not nutuered (will do at 18 months), and I struggle to keep him @ 6 lbs., and he's really toooo lean, for my liking...I'm hoping he'll plump up, a bit, after nueter... |
