I make a 5hr drive every other weekend to visit my boyfriend and my two do absolutely fine. We have made the drive during the daytime as well as at night and they just sleep in there crate the whole time except for when I stop to let them potty (normally only once, and they don't REALLY even need that anymore... I just don't want them to be uncomfortable
). They are only 5 and 6 months, so I think your puppy should be absolutely fine!
