LOL! I can relate. My new puppy Annie, loves to wake up early. She licks me all over my face and stands on my chest looking at me like, "come on wake up, the sun is almost up!" I know she has a small bladder so I am trying to be tolerant.

I had a dachshund that used to sneeze at things to get my attention. She always went to the door and just stared at it for a while. When we did not come open, she would start the fake sneezing and I would come open the door. I actually preferred that to Ben's barking at the door. I miss my Katie -- dachshund we had for 17 1/2 years. She just passed in her sleep this past year. Candy (my Jack Russell) just stares at the door and runs to me and stares at me, then back and forth getting progressively faster. If I don't notice right away like when I am asleep, she jumps right up on me and stares me in the face, then repeats the back and forth sequence. She is 11 pounds of pure muscle and when she hits me square in the breadbasket, I wake pretty fast! She thinks she is a yorkie but she weighs over twice as much and I sure feel it!

Your group sounds pretty active! I guess sleeping in is now something you dream about (but only before 5 am) They do settle more as they get older, but sometimes it is much older before you notice a difference.
