You can use a double clap. Doesn't require anything other than your hands, and your hands are always with you.


And to whoever said they tap their dog "under the chin" you really shouldn't do that. Doesn't matter where you tap/hit, you are teaching them to fear your hands. In fact, when a dog is fearful it is suggested that one not reach to pet that dog on his head, rather reach under the chin as it is less threatening.
