Does he seem to be drinking way more than normal?

Our little guy had bladder stones and had surgery for it end of 2009. We also get him checked every three months with an xray at month 6 and another one coming up for his 1 year.

Unfortunately, we did discover at the first 3 month mark that he developed diabetes.

Houston was always the most housetrained of our brood and it was totally unlike him.

Since you have found no evidence of urine anywhere, it could just be the excitement of your coming home (our little Zander is a "Welcome Home" piddler).

With Houston, if he does have to go and its inside and not near his pee pad he hides to do it, almost like he is embarrassed or gonna get in trouble (I noticed him going behind a chair in the corner).

I just picked him up and loved on him because I know the little fellow couldn't help it (I had accidently blocked his path to the pee pad-so bad dad).

Incontinence (if this is what it is) may not be a sign of anything serious at all, just be patient and calm and discuss with the vet.
