But if none were in a position to care for her properly, I would want this group to know about it -- there is always someone here who has lost a beloved pet and is ready for a new one to love. Or who is ready to add to their existing family. I might add that Tallulah would come with a large wardrobe and collection of toys.

Not that I plan on having anything happen to me any time soon...
Darlene -- I think Boopster has a great plan. Maybe you could have someone designated that would contact someone you feel close to on YT. They could find a great home from the membership here. I may put that as an option to my boys. That way if they feel they cannot care for them the way I would want, they can feel free to contact someone here on YT without feeling guilty themselves. I know my one son wants his Jack Russell. She is definately his baby and is missing him something fierce now that he is off to college. But my other boys have dogs of their own. Not sure if they want Yorkies too. Someone here on YT that would act as a go between to find a placement home would be great. Not that any of us are planning on leaving anytime soon -- but you never know. I sure did not think my husband would be gone so soon either.

I am going to solidify this plan and talk with my sister (she has 2 of our pups and would probbly be glad to take mine as well)and make sure I have at least 3 potential places for them to go. I just can't even think about adding euthanasia to the possibilities.
