We got him over Memorial Day weekend and he was SOOOO sick so we were at the ER vet the second night. We took turns staying with him and at nights my DH slept on the floor by the crate We have such a strong bond too. Sometimes he sleeps with us at night and when he does (I sleep on my side) he just comes right into my nook and curls up. I also get pretty intense migraines and I really think he senses them because he won't leave my side for the duration.
Nala on the other hand was a bit different. We got her from a breeder in ALbany NY. We got her the day we got back from our Honeymoon (we flew into NY were both sets of parents live) and he drove her down to our parents house. She was so cute and we both really liked her but it took a few weeks to actually bond with her and love her. She was so attached to Bandit (I think she thought Bandit was her mom) and liked us but LOVED Bandit. After around 9ish months Nala started becoming extremely attached to me. Her nickname is Pita (pain in the @$$) and the only time she would calm down is if I held her. I love her sooooo much now, and am SO glad I got her but it wasn't love at first sight like with my Bandit man. |
this brought a big smile to my face
