Hi, I'm Niblett's mom. I've just had Niblett about 2 weeks now and this is a whole new experience for me. I have 3 other dogs 40-80 lbs! Never have I had or wanted a small dog! I saw this little guy and I don't know what happened. I told my husband it was like I'd looked into those eyes before! We are animal lovers of all kinds. Have cats also and I rehab wildlife but I am really lost here! I feed my large dogs a raw diet, doubt I'm brave enough to do that with Niblett. He is 14 weeks old. He weighs 3.5 lbs. has a fantastic appitite and my vet said he's great looking! Great teeth, knees etc and very inquisitive sparkly brown round eyes! He's a doll! I'm a nurse in Ohio, currently not working so I have a lot of time for "Nibby". Will be doing a lot of reading I see. Working on housebreaking but unfortunately it's getting cold here and going to probably be nasty and wet soon to. Only two problems I'm having right now is what pad to use and how to keep him from tearing them up?? I read about a "rubber" one but so far haven't found it. Have Nibby in a "playpen" type arrangement which is working well for now. My only other issue is play bitting! WOW! He can really get riled up when playing and start snapping. My vet said to hold him down (anchored) gently but firmly until he calms down and not to allow him up until I'm ready to release him. (I have a WONDERFUL vet X 20 years) He loved him but said I need to let the terrior part know who is in charge. Sometimes after I do this, he licks my hand. Reminds me of a wound up kid! Anyway...enough! I will be reading a lot. I already appreciate this group and boy do I need it! Thanks, Jeanie
