I take calcium and vitamin D due to osteoporosis (I have multiple current and past fractures). I will be doing more walking but I have a phobia about water so that is out. I looked at the symptoms online and now I know that many things I experience are caused by this including my very thin (balding really) hair. Thanks for the comments and suggestions. If you have anymore, pls share. |
Walking is great exercise, and you can take your pups with you

For bad weather, ie; icey too cold etc, I use my stationary bicycle, it is easiest on my joints. I take 2000 vit d and calcium a day.
Beyond meditative and visualization exercises, try a gentle yoga class, stretching out stiff muscles and joints can feel really good (especially afterwards)
Here in Toronto we have a woman's only hydrotherapy spa, I've been trying to go once a week. That might not work for you if you are very phobic about water. Alternating cold and different types of warm to hot baths, plus a eucalptus steam room, and a sauana I love that place
You can try the Arthritis society of the USA - I'm sure their website would be a good starting off point to find other organizations that support Fibromyalgia.
Massage is very good as well.
Diet is another big ticket item you can investigate.
Copper bracelets
Infrared Beds.
The list can go on. But do make sure your bed is very good, quality of sleep is so important. We some years ago got a memory foam type mattress. We probably next year will be looking at another mattress.
