i like andis clippers. I have the 2 speed ultra edge and the 5 speed excel. I find them easier to work with then osters. you'll also need a few blades for certain areas. 10 for sanitary, 30 for pads and ears, and then longer length blades and combs if you plan on keeping him in a puppy cut or shave.

i don't know about any videos on the web but i do know Jodi Murphy has some excellent DVDs as well as Jay Scruggs and Sue Zecco. they are professional groomers who put out training DVDs
