The girls are 18mths old. They are pee pad trained and so can potty indoors anytime they want. They have free run of the entire house at all times. The boys are older and they are outside trained, but they also have free run of the house all the time, they never have accidents. Before we tore up our bedroom for remodeling the girls slept in their xpen at night, mostly for safety (I was scared of them falling out of bed), but since we've been sleeping in the recliners and the xpen was taken down, they've been sleeping on me at night and I'm pretty sure that when the remodel is done they probably won't want to go back to the pen...and they are older and hopefully wiser and will join us in bed.

I can't imagine confining any of them..... I think the protesting would make me nuts.
