I am sorry, but if it appears to you that the swelling is completely gone, with a fall on the head there could still be internal problems. Just for peace of mind I would have the vet check him.
Not too long ago a member posted on here about her little Yorkie. Bumped into a chair (or table?) while playing and seemed fine after. But the little one died the next day. Unless we are well trained in vet care we honestly can't say the dog is fine.
Would be worth eating Colcannon for a week or two to afford the vet bill.
