I think it's awesome how you guys are teaching your Yorkies sign language too!!! It's an amazing way to communicate.

She knows....
Sit
Come
Stay
Down
Stand
Heel
Rollover
Shake
Take a bow (this is everyone's favorite trick)
Take (she can take any item that she can pick up in her mouth and I can also sign to her which direction I want her to go)
I've never thought of one for going potty. What do you do for that?
My border collie also knows some sign language and I am teaching my yorkiepoo as well. |
For potty sign... when Macy was a puppy, everytime she went in the house, I would stop her immediately and take her outside and sign potty. She would look at me every time I signed potty. Next time whenever she looked like she had to go in the house, I would sign no and then sign potty. She would go right to the door and go outside. Ever since she knows the potty sign.
