Default NEED advice Deucy getting surgery tomorrow

Alright. I'm dreading this WHOLE thing tomorrow with Deucy. His teeth need cleaned terribly and I put it off due to all the bad vet experiences. I found a vet in Kansas City ...she is the same one who cleaned Baker's (Deucy's son) teeth and Baker came out of it just fine. I took Deucy in for his inital exam/visit Friday and met and spoke with the vet about the anesthesia, etc. She will use propofol (sp?). She said that she hasn't lost one pet since she started using it. She's been a vet for 32 years. She also told me that I should get Deucy neutered at the same time. I know that needs to be done but, he'll have to wear one of those things on his head to keep him from chewing at the stitches. I don't want to leave him alone while I go to work with that thing on his head. I KNOW he'll get into trouble and possibly hurt his trachea. I'm already having doubts about the neutering. Does ANYBODY know what the chances are of a toy yorkie getting testicular cancer, prostate cancer, etc. if he is NOT neutered? I really need some good advice here. HE IS MY LIFE and I told the vet that. ADVICE NEEDED asap.
