Paddy took Rimadyl once per day for a day or two after he sprained his foot. He didn't have a problem with it. The dose for yorkies is pretty small. It is basically the dog friendly version of ibuprofen (advil or motrin) and the possible side affects/ are similar to those humans can get from NSAIDS. If she is tolerating it its important to keep on as recommended by the vet because in addition to reducing pain it will also reduce post operative swelling. If all heals up well she shouldn't need it for very long.

What is really scary is if they get a hold of human meds. Paddy ate half a human motrin once because he vaccuumed it off the floor before my hubby could bend to pick it up right after he dropped it. He spiked a fever and was lethargic. The vet had to give him injections and stuff to protect his poor stomach lining. He the pooped bright orange diarrhea for a week!! But I was happy to deal with that as long as my little orange pooper was ok!! ha.

Hope Bella feels better soon!!
