I had a lab/shephard mix that was trained in a day as well...I adopted him from the pound and we had one poo incident and one pee incident. I scolded him and put him outside to show that was where he was supposed to go and from then on he was great. Then again he has so far been the easiest dog to train in every aspect, I even taught him to do backflips! lol, my mom hated it when I had the 70lb dog do a backflip in her house :P Some dogs seem to be much more receptive to training than others, and I think that because Max was a pound puppy he was more willing to please his family that saved him, but who knows?

And I've had a setback on the potty training I must have forgotten to put his belly band on him, I went to the bathroom and when I came out I smelled that "smell" bleh, I found the puddle in my bedroom. I would assume that it was marking, but with the quantity of the pee it just looks like he was relieving himself. Frustrating, but I guess I still cant trust him to be alone for 5 minutes...I was hoping that I'd finally be able to give him at least half of the house to run around in while at work, but guess not. He is great with his pee pads, but for some reason he decided that my bedroom is also a potty. I've never had pee pads in there and the only reason for him to be in there was for bed, since that is where I keep his crate. Maybe I'll put a pad down in my bedroom too??? gah, so frustrated, I'm doing something wrong so I need to figure that out.
