It's Lacie's favorite game. If she knows we want her to come, and she doesn't think we have a treat, she WILL run in the opposite direction. If she knows we have treats (she has an impeccable sense of smell), she doesn't leave our side. We can usually sneak one treat in our pocket and call her. After that, she assumes there are more treats where that one came from.
It's getting worse as she gets older. We desperately need some more ideas. If I'm outside with her, I run away as I call her. She still doesn't come right away, and once I've tried it, it doesn't work again. She's just too stinkin' smart for her own good.
