I would not only recommend as everyone has already said to ignore the comments but I wouldn't talk to anyone about your dogs either. Don't tell them why you are coming in late if you can avoid it and don't tell them if you get your dog something new either.
It is difficult sometimes because you are excited if you get them something new
I just got my bella her first booster and got some flack for it too, honestly I don't care because I care more about how much that little dog makes my heart melt and protecting her than how it hurts to be mocked by other people for it!
I have a couple of friends that think it is hysterical how she is "the baby", I actually lay it on thick to them sometimes just to show them how much I don't care
