Keep the hair long if it is a silky I have baby fine hair and show people buying my pups it is as easy as my hair. With Molly I can let it go for weeks and still brushes out like my hair just goes right through the tangles leave the hair long till yo see if you have a silky or cotton coat. If cotton coat Yes trim it to puppy cut.
