I think every 2 weeks is usually good, but with lots of clean-ups in between. When Ben's hair was long, his beard needed a good washing almost every day or it would get stinky. Eyes need a warm wash cloth about every day too or you get the eye crusties. Mine get a nasty brown stuff in the corners and below their eyes. No way that could wait a week or two. He would also need in between bath washes of his male part as his string of hair would get rank too. Come to think of it, he gets washed on all the time!
