You are so fortunate to get your dog back. Did you ask them why it took so long for them to contact you? Usually the first thing that someone (with intent to return a dog) does is look for a tag with contact info. I'm sorry that it had to happen, but again thank goodness that you got Piper back. |
I don't think they intended to return her but couldn't take her to the vet or groomer without shot records. I'd also plastered the area with missing dog reports and she was microchipped. I was so mad I was shaking so my husband drove the 15 miles to pick her up. It didn't even sink in at first that they'd had her without calling us, I think because we were so happy to get her back. It wasn't until I'd hung up the phone that it dawned on me the circumstances.
