I did not put anything about this in my earlier email, but we lost our little Alex, had to also put him down, like you did. This was in early July. I can't tell you the depression we both went through here. Our other dog, Odie, was very very depressed, as well. Finally , we decided to get another pup, which we did in late August and it was the best thing we could have done. Gio has brought us so much joy, and we love him so much, and now our home is filled with laughter, love and happiness once again. Odie is also feeling so much better about having a housemate once again.
The pain does ease up after a while, but it really takes quite a while.
