That is a GREAT idea! My mom does that with her daschaund - when she wants him to go to bed - he gets a treat, so he is always READY to go to bed. I'd never thought about giving a treat when I am leaving!!! Actually Rowdy doesn't protest when I leave, he is used to me going to work every morning (my hubby is retired though) - BUT when we get the suitcases out, he goes NUTS!
