Animal Smiley 049 Very strange Rabies reaction

This is a little bit delayed as last week was nuts between Kasha and school. Finally taking a break from studying to write this.

First background info:
Kash is 9 months old, 6.8 lbs (3x her size @12 weeks!!) and got her last set of shots on 5/11 where she weighted about 4lbs. She had a painful reaction to the DHPP & Rabies my idiot former vet gave her at the same time.

Last Sunday Kasha and I were hanging out. I touched her shoulder (she's had a lump there which the current vet wasn't worried about since may) and it felt scabby. Checked it out and she was missing just bigger than a quarter sized patch of hair and had a scab which was peeling. I washed it and put some Neosporin on it.

Went to the vet the next day and the lesion had grown. The vet didn't think it was ring worm (did a blacklight and sent fungal cultures) but immediately asked where her rabies shot was. Yep, it was in the spot where her booboo is. She just called it a delayed reaction to the vaccine. We treated for the ringworm & the inflammation/ dermatitis w/ prednisone, antifungal/bacterial cream & vitamin E.

By Thursday my DBF consulted his mom who suggested a dermatologist. He took her and this vet officially diagnosed her with Localized Vasculitis with a secondary Bacterial Infection. So now she's on
* Oral Antibiotics
* Prednisone every other day( it causes hair loss)
* Melatonin (it helps with hair growth in dogs)
* Topical Antibiotics

Poor little baby looks like she's been shot in her shoulder. She doesn't seem to be in any pain but I'm just worried. She has years to come of Rabies vaccines which makes me nervous. Neither vet was keen to hop on the holistic train for this but I just wonder if there's something more to do for her which wont drug her up.

Anyone else had this reaction?

Thanks!
