We own a Dog Treat business in Lancaster and we have done very well. I have to tell you is a lot of work. I would suggest checking on the internet for requirements that you need in your state. Along with analysis on each of your treats you will also need to have a agriculture license. Baking out of your house would be nice but you take the chance that they may come to inspect it. We have been in business for a little over a year and now have 4 markets and several stores in the lancaster area. Remember that they may come and pull your treats and test them at random just to make sure your analysis are accurate. We have had ours checked once and all of ours were what we were claiming. Lancaster County does have several dog treat businesses in the area.
