I never had a small dog before, but after I was in a car accident I found our large dog too much for my left arm to handle. Darwin is great company when I'm having a bad day and now we have Mabel. They keep each other company and play all day, between naps. It's also taken the pressure off of me being Darwin's only playmate! Not sure if I could handle two puppies at the same time, but I think as long as your first is house trained it won't be so hard to have two - good luck!
