Pretty much what we do around here now (I'm not totally opposed to an extra booster about three years after the first though just b/c I'm overly cautious).
Ellie's vet told me that a few of her clients with older dogs have just decided to stop vaccinating...and she isn't sure that's a bad thing.
Above all, find a vet that shares your views or can be an uphill battle. And getting modified live vaccines yearly (parvo, distemper, hepatitis) is not a good idea.
