Princess did great with her spay surgery. Our vet gives an option of surgery by scalpel or laser. I chose laser surgery for both of my pups.
Your own vet may be the best person to advise you, about your own pup since he/she would be most familiar with Mablel's health history.
I asked ALOT of questions months in advance and also before surgery to make sure Princess would do OK during and after surgery.
I have only had the experience of having my cats spayed and neutered. I was not so sure if there was anything to be more concerned about with my 2 pups.
It is always a good idea to have the pre-surgical blood work done to make sure your own pup is in the best of health internally prior to scheduled surgery.
My biggest worry about Rosie is her weight 2.7lbs and the fact that she has retained most of her baby teeth. I didn't see this thread when I posted in health this morning but I'm really wondering if I should wait a bit longer or not. I'm very confused.
