Our local PetsMart sells kittens (as well as fish, hamsters, etc) --- just no dogs/puppies...which makes me think they don't really care about animals, just have come to realize if they sell puppies they'll get branded as supporting puppy mills, guess people don't realize they're also supporting kitten mills. I believe the only reason they don't sell puppies is because of the bad press they'd get, not because they care about puppies/mills - of course, that's assuming on my part, something I shouldn't do.
