Funny thing is, the vet didn't look at Sunny, just the "dirt." But we had told her that we hadn't seen any fleas or any evidence of fleas, so I guess she took our word for it. (Years ago we had fleas with our cat, so we knew what to look for. Fleas are a nightmare.) We just have no idea what these specks are. They are all shaped exactly the same--just tiny little narrow bits. And there have only been a few---one or two at a time on my arm, just a few times. And a couple of times on my daughter. (And we are the main ones in the house who pick up Sunny. Son and hubby haven't had them.) I did try to put a little water on one to see if it turned red, but it didn't. Weird!
